Which Firm Is For Me

How Can I Tell If A CPA Or CPA Firm Is Right For My Needs?

Partners

  • Who are the partners you will be working with?
  • What is their training and experience in the areas most important to you? How much of their business is devoted to these areas?
  • Consider whether that person's business style and attitude matches your own, be it formal or informal, conservative or aggressive. Compatibility is important. Do you have confidence and trust the partner as an advisor?
  • Is the person still learning and willing to change?
  • How comfortable are you with this person? Does he or she listen well? Is the person willing to take time with you?
  • Will the partner be personally involved with the engagement? Who are the other associates on the engagement?
  • Is the partner clear about all fees and estimates?
